Citadel CT-EK (Analog/Digital)

Teledyne RD Instruments CITADEL CT-EK Sensor provides high accuracy conductivity and temperature measurements in a package that can be readily adapted to various user platforms. The instrument relies on an innovative, inductively coupled conductivity sensor, which provides high-accuracy, stable readings. The sensor is self-flushing, so no pumps are required. A high-grade Thermistor (Analog) and Platinum Resistance Thermometer (Digital) provides stable temperature readings for calculation of high-accuracy salinity and sound velocity. Separate models are available with the following options:

• Shallow- (500-meter) or deep-water (7000-meter) construction

• Internal or external temperature sensor (faster response)

• Regular or short stem (shallow versions only) A large ceramic conductivity cell is also available for improved accuracy and faster response.

Citadel CTD-ES

The CITADEL CTD-ES incorporates proven inductively coupled conductivity sensor technology with a platinum resistance thermometer and micromachined silicon pressure sensor to provide highly accurate and stable readings. Data is output continuously via RS-232 or RS-485. All Citadel CTD-ES sensors are mounted in the flow, with no pumps or other artificial flushing devices required. Precise internal fixed references provide continuous calibration for increased long-term reliability.

Citadel CTD-NH

The CITADEL CTD-NH provides scientific-quality conductivity, temperature, and depth measurement capability in an extremely rugged package. This new CTD utilizes the patented Non-eXternal Inductive Cell (NXIC) conductivity sensor, and represents a new generation of extremely durable precision measurement instruments. The Citadel CTD-NH is a fast sampling, fully integrated instrument platform with optional battery power, datalogging, and external analog sensor input. Its unique design resists bio-fouling and allows for easy in-field cleaning. The Citadel CTD-NH’s NXIC internal conductivity cells do not suffer from proximity effects as do typical external inductive cells, and allow the unit to be mounted in virtually any orientation, close to other equipment. The unit draws very low power and can run for 400 hours continuous on its 3V battery pack. The instrument can be field cleaned without affecting factory calibration. There are no pumps or fragile electrodes, which ensures reliability in demanding marine environments.

Its flow-thru design is ideally suited for profiling and towing applications or mounting to AUVs and ROVs. The Citadel CTD-NV’s NXIC internal conductivity cells do not suffer from proximity effects as do typical external inductive cells, and allow the unit to be mounted in virtually any orientation, close to other equipment. The unit draws very low power and can run for 400 hours continuous on its 3V battery pack. The instrument can be field cleaned without affecting factory calibration. Citadel TS-NH

The Teledyne RD Instruments CITADEL TS-NH THERMOSALINOGRAPH is a compact, low-maintenance system with exceptional stability for monitoring sea surface salinity, as well as sound velocity and water density. The Citadel TS-NH Thermosalinograph uses Teledyne RDI’s patented NXIC (Non-eXternal Inductive Conductivity) sensor and an aged thermistor to provide precise conductivity and temperature measurement, resulting in high-accuracy calculated salinity, sound velocity, and density. The system is cast in a urethane mold, and the electronics are housed in an integral sealed (moisture-proof) housing. The unit is easy to install and remove on in-line piping using either 3/4" hose pipe barbs or optional threaded fittings, and is easily integrated into larger ferry box systems providing additional biological and chemical measurements.

The CITADEL CT-ETH incorporates proven inductively coupled conductivity sensor technology with a thermistor. Data is output continuously via RS-232 or RS-485. All CT-ETH sensors are for mounting thru-hull of a vessel, in the flow, with no pumps or other artificial flushing devices required. Precise internal fixed references provide continuous calibration for increased long-term reliability
